Lo spot (che si pronuncia Ciangù) produce ottime onde sia destre che sinistre, su un fondale di sabbia e reef, in tre picchi distinti a seconda della marea. C’è una sinistra su reef, un’altra sinistra su sabbia che funzionano a media marea ed una destra su reef che funziona ad alta marea. E' il campo di gioco di molti grommets locali. Surfabile in buone condizioni solo con assenza di vento (mattino presto e tramonto). Più a nord lungo la costa si trova lo spot di -Balian Canggu: Spot abbastanza facile con onde sinistre e destre.

Canggu, or changu as the locals pronounceit, it’s a good intermediate break between the safety of the beach break and the danger of the coral reefs.
An absolute swell magnet, always 2 feet bigger then Kuta so it gets crowded on small swell especially in the weekends.
The atmosphere gets better if you go there occasionally, got its own locals and they're kind of skeptic when you show up for the first time. First impression, standing at the warungs and overlooking the waves is: ok, this is not big, I can handle it!! Do not be fooled, they look a whole lot smaller standing on the beach.
